Step 3: Choose How to Print

You have three main options for printing your art.

Option A: Online Print Services (Best Quality)

Online services give you the best results with bright colors and premium paper.

Top Services:

  • US/Canada: Mpix, Nations Photo Lab, Printique
  • UK/Europe: Whitewall, Photobox
  • Australia: Officeworks, Posterfactory

How It Works: Upload your JPEG file to their website. Pick your size and paper type. They mail your prints to you.

Benefits: Professional quality prints on canvas or fine art paper. Some offer framing too.

Option B: Local Print Shop

Print shops give you high-quality prints the same day.

How to Find One: Use your phone’s Maps app to find print shops near you.

What to Bring: Put your file on a USB drive. Ask them to turn off automatic color correction. Request matte or luster paper.

Benefits: More paper choices, like fine art paper and canvas. Can print large sizes up to 24×36 inches.

Option C: Print at Home

If you have a good inkjet printer, you can print right away.

Printer Settings:

  • Paper Type: Choose “Matte Photo Paper” or “Fine Art Paper”
  • Quality: Set to “High” or “Best Quality”
  • Size: Print at 100% scale or “Actual Size”

Good Home Printers:

  • Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-300 (gallery quality, A3+ size)
  • Epson SureColor P700 (professional color accuracy)
  • Canon PIXMA PRO-200S (great for hobbyists)
  • Epson EcoTank ET-8550 (budget-friendly with refillable ink)

Avoid: Laser printers or dye-based printers for best color and longevity.

Step 4: Pick Your Paper

Paper choice affects how your art looks.

Paper Types

Fine Art Matte (Our Top Pick): No glare, textured feel, professional look. Works for all art styles.

Premium Luster/Satin:
Slight shine, bright colors, smooth finish. Great for photo-style prints.

Canvas: Classic artistic feel. Creates ready-to-hang art without frames.

Weight Matters: Use heavyweight paper (180-300 GSM). Avoid regular copy paper.

Recommended Papers

Matte: Red River Paper 60 lb River Linen or 88 lb Polar Matte Magna Fine Art: Hahnemühle Photo Rag (museum quality) Canvas: Textured look for traditional artwork Glossy/Satin: Best for photo prints but may reflect light
